BASIC PISTOL COURSES
AVAILABLE ON REQUEST NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting - BLENDED Training: This course is designed for students who prefer taking academic training online at their own pace. Part I is the online and takes 8 - 10 hours. You must coordinate with NAFT to receive a NRA Training Token that will give you access to the online training @ www.onlinetraining.nra.org. NAFT requires a $40 deposit to prior to issuing the token. Once Part I is completed, a NAFT Instructor will conduct Part II which includes a quick review of the online training and the hands-on Shooting portion of the course which typically takes 5-6 hours: This course is the second half of the NRA’s new blended Basic Pistol Shooting training package. Students receive the NRA’s Basics of Pistol Shooting Handbook and a NRA course completion Certificate.
Course fee: $100.00 ($40 deposit required to receive online training token)
NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course - Instructor Led Training (8 - 9 hours): This course is for beginners who have not determined the type of pistol they wish to purchase and covers safe handling, the parts and functions of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition types and uses, shooting fundamentals, care and maintenance, and shooting skills. Guns and ammunition are furnished for this course. Students receive the NRA's Basics of Pistol Shooting Handbook and NRA Certificate upon Completion. Course Fee: $145.00 ($75.00 deposit)
